“Christmas is a big deal in our rather large family and I adore finding gifts for loved ones that feel a little bit indulgent and that they might not think of buying for themselves. I like to start by getting inspiration online but I tend to prefer buying gifts in person so that I can feel them, smell them, try them for size, and - wherever possible - meet the people who make them! I’m a big fan of Xmas markets, independent pop up shops and local shopping events. Here’s a selection of the gifts I have my eye on this season...

1. For my best friend:

These fabulous lightning bolt earrings are so unique with their mix of gold and silver. My best friend and I have a similar passion for accessories and particularly earrings, so whenever we see each other, it usually involves shopping for something original and sparkly! She will love these as they are fun and yet still a statement - perfect for her every day look.

2. For my Mum:

My Mum hates the cold and adores anything that keeps her both warm and stylish! This Ally Bee snood in alpaca and wool is soft and luxurious and the fact that it’s a double wrap means it’s extra cosy and easy to wear.

3. For my sister:

My sister has two small children and never has time to shop. I love this jumper as it’s beautiful, understated yet feminine, soft and luxurious, but still easy to wear with a pair of jeans and flats. In evergreen or navy shades, it will go with everything, perfect for a busy mum during the day time, but equally can be dressed up for evening.

For my sister in law:

This gorgeous merino wool cardigan is great as stylish lounge wear and is equally perfect for a cool day wear look. My sister in law has just had a baby, so she needs some seriously beautiful but comfortable pieces to wear at home and for when she’s eventually out and about.

4. For my mother in law:

My mother in law has fabulous style and looks amazing in scarves. This Sorrento scarf by Dolce Roopa is in luxurious silk and the detail of the hand drawn watercolour design is incredible. It’s also a really good size which makes it so versatile and easy to accessorise different looks.

5. For the gift cupboard:

At this time of year you can never have enough gifts stocked up for those impromptu invitations to drinks or mince pies and mulled wine. A good selection of these gorgeous Tussie Mussie candles will see me through all eventualities. The Glad Tidings candle is super festive and smells of delicious cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and orange.

6. For Me:

Of course with all this shopping for others it’s hard not to spot a few choice items that I’d like to have myself! Luckily my family know me well and don’t mind the odd suggestion…

This stunning satin Rivoli top from Kirei clothing is absolutely top of my list. I really struggle finding statement evening tops in lighter, softer colours and I just love the feminine detail of the lace and wide sleeves. I would wear this with my leather black trousers and gold heels for a fabulous night-time look over the festive season.
